Alex Horsfall

Alex Horsfall,

Managing Director
BA (Hons), Dip Arch

Alex studied architecture at Oxford Brookes University and London Southbank University. Graduating in 2000 he worked for a number of years in North London, gaining valuable experience in the commercial and retail sectors. He then moved to a medium sized practice in Farringdon, where (as an Associate and Technical manager) he was primarily involved in the design and running of small private residential jobs, with further involvement in a number of luxury hotel developments.

In 2011 Alex set up as self-employed and helped his father retire by merging their two companies in Frome – where he now lives with his wife and two daughters (and from where he originates). In 2016 he and Ralph Cooley joined forces to form Cooley Horsfall Architecture Ltd.

He has a keen interest in architectural detailing and how buildings go together. With experience of designing in a range styles, depending on the specific context of a project (although tending more towards contemporary design) he employs a thorough, logical and technical approach to design.
