New 3-bed House

New 3-bed House, Peasedown St. John, Bath

We recently gained Planning Approval for this 3-bedroom house on a very difficult site in Peasedown St. John.

With three properties (including the original, extended house) and three protected trees on the site, as well as a 'no development zone' we were extremely constrained with regards to size, positioning, access and orientation.

The Local Authority Arboriculturalist applied the TPO during the application and this very nearly became a point for potential refusal. With a strong argument for our protection strategy and a clear illustration of our desire to retain maximum landscaping across the site (including the Birch trees in question), we were able to persuade the Planning Officer to over-rule the Arb Officer and permit the development.

We are now proceeding with the working drawings, with a view to commencing construction in the summer.
